Top beauty trends of London Fashion Week and how to get them right

It is raining fashion weeks this season! The London Fashion Week just ended leaving behind it’s trail of beauty and makeup trends. This year was a fine blend of taking inspiration from the past as well as looking into the future. Here, we let you in on the top ones and also give tips on how you can achieve them at home.

High impact cat-eye

(As seen in the 4th and 5th pic)

The trend:

The Burberry collection took us by surprise when the taupe brown high impact cat eye was introduced on the show by the artist Pat McGrath. Instead of a black or coloured cat eye, McGrath opted for this look.

How to achieve it:

This look is so easy to achieve and looks stunning!

Bare lips

The trend:

The nude lips trend continues to be followed on the runways. While the bold lipsticks still make a statement, bare nude ones were seen on most of the models at the London Fashion Week this year.

How to achieve it:

Pink blush

The trend:

The pink blush added an appealing softness to the makeup. While the coral cheeks were on trend last year, this time it was all about going pink and adding some colour.

How to achieve this look:

This is a very bold look, but if carried properly, it can ace up your makeup game!

60s disco eyes

The trend:

The theatrical look was seen on the runways by pairing a thick bold black eyeliner with glittery eyelids. This trend is setting major makeup goals this season.

How to achieve the look:

Neon pink lips

The trend:

Rose coloured lips were a trend last season, so this time the game was amped up a bit with neon pink lips matching same coloured eyeliner. As seen at the at Chalayan show, the pink eyeliner look was inspired from the 80s.

How to achieve this look:

Glowing skin

The trend:

Korean beauty has certainly hit UK as clear, dewy and glowing skin was the focus for most of the shows this season. It was all about prepping the skin perfectly by using illuminating balms and moisturisers instead of heavy foundations and concealers. This is almost a no-makeup makeup look since the skin looks so dewy and fresh.

How to achieve it:

These were some of the makeup looks that were seen on the runway of the London Fashion Week. Recreate them in your own way and make all the heads turn!
