Recipe Edition: Paneer Cheese Cutlets

Paneer cheese cutlets are the perfect combination of crispy and melt-in-your-mouth goodness. This snack is a delightful treat for any occasion, with a golden crust and a soft, flavorful paneer filling. Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup paneer (grated)
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 medium green chilli
  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • A pinch of garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or as required)
  • 2 tablespoons rice flour
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Method:

  1. Take the grated paneer in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the grated mozzarella cheese to the bowl.
  3. Add finely chopped green chilli and coriander leaves.
  4. Add salt as required.
  5. Add the bread crumbs and mix everything well.
  6. Shape the mixture into tikkis or cutlets.
  7. Place the rice flour on a small plate.
  8. Coat each cutlet evenly with the rice flour.
  9. Heat the cooking oil in a tawa or pan. When hot, place the cutlets in the pan and shallow fry.
  10. When the base of the cutlet turns golden brown, flip it carefully with a butter knife and fry the other side until golden brown.
  11. Remove the cutlets and place them on a kitchen tissue to drain off the excess oil.
  12. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
