🍌 Chocolate Banana Bites

If there’s one combo kids never get bored with, it’s banana and chocolate. This no-cook recipe is the perfect quick fix for little chefs who can’t wait for oven timers. These chilled banana bites are easy, healthy, and fun to decorate.

Prep time: 30 mins | Cook time: 1 hr 45 mins | Servings: 10

Ingredients
Method
  1. Slice the bananas into 1-inch slices and spread them out on a buttered paper.
  2. Smear peanut butter on top of the banana slices and top it with one more banana slice like a sandwich.
  3. Arrange them on the butter paper and pierce toothpicks in each of them from top to bottom.
  4. Freeze it for 1-2 hours, based on the peanut butter hardening a bit.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the chocolate coating by taking a small pan and pouring in 1 tbsp milk and the chocolate chips.
  6. In a low flame, continuously stir and bring the chocolate to a melt. You can add a bit more milk to adjust the thickness consistency. Note not to make it too watery, as the coating won’t sit well.
  7. Pour into a bowl and set it aside to cool.
  8. Take a small pan and dry roast almonds on a medium flame. Cool and crush them into pieces.
  9. Mix the chocolate and the almonds.
  10. Take the banana out of the freezer, hold the toothpick and dip it into the chocolate till it spreads and covers both sides.
  11. Let the excess chocolate drip into the bowl before placing the dipped banana on the butter paper again.
  12. Freeze again for 2-3 hours based on how fast the chocolate on the banana hardens.

     Tips for Kids:

  1. Try dipping the banana bites yourself—it’s like giving them a chocolate bath!
  2. Have fun decorating with sprinkles or crushed nuts while the chocolate is still soft.
  3. Don’t forget to lick the spoon (once the work’s done, of course!).
