Summer fashion picks you can’t go wrong with

Summer is the time to enjoy the bright sunshine and the fashion that comes along with it. It’s a window of opportunity that you have to make the most of before the heavy rains come pouring down (tough some trends can be carried well into other seasons as well). Here is a list of our pick.

The white dress

What is summer without a flowing white dress? It’s hard to look anything but angelic in them. Go for something that suits your style. Think ethereal Grecian garbs or free-spirited hippie inspired dresses. If you are looking for Spring/Summer fashion trends than the white shirt dress is the way to go (as seen in Rag & Bone, Lie Sangbong and DKNY).

Florals

Florals are synonymous with summer fashion. Go bold with big and bright prints or take a subtle route with little floral patterns in soft colours. And if you prefer a monotone style, you can keep the prints to your accessories such as a bag, scarf or footwear.

Straw bags

If you thought that the straw bags were an accessory only during your beach holiday, then are wrong. Straw bags and straw accessories are no longer restricted to beach days. Flaunt them all with your other cool spring fashion trends.

Red shoes

Red shoes offer just the right amount of drama. What’s more, they go on perfectly with your summer colours, be it the subtle white or bold yellow. You can opt for a pretty pair of wedges, ballerina footwear or stripy sandals.

Banker Stripes

Banker stripes were all the rage in Spring/Summer fashion shows as seen in Rag & Bone, DKNY, Tanya Taylor, Self-Portrait. What’s great about them that they flatter every figure and can be worn to office as well without a second thought. Just remember you do not have to settle for boring silhouettes as there is a range of interesting ones available.

Whichever outfit or accessory you pick, just make sure that you do not leave the home without your sunscreen!
