Top 7 Paris Fashion Week beauty trends

The Paris Fashion Week for Fall 2019 left us with amazing looks and inspiring trends to try. While the designers showcased their exquisite style on the runway, the makeup artists proved that looks can be taken up a notch. A lot of them were inspired by the classic beauty of the past. Every show was spotted with different techniques and they made a statement of their own! Well, let’s check them out!

Back to classics

There’s nothing more classic and appealing than red lips and black eyeliner. This look was inspired by the 80s and was seen at Louis Vuitton show. Pat McGrath, the makeup artist took the black winged eyeliner to the next level by elongating it. The sharp and defined cut crease stole all the attention and added much drama to the eyes. Face contouring was kept sharp with heavily flushed cheeks. Eyebrows were kept thick, bushy and left undefined. Overall, the bold black eyes and red lips took over the show.

Metallic eyelashes

At the Giambattista Valli show, makeup artist Val Garland decided to give the models false metallic lashes in silver hue to take the eye game over the top. The upper and lower lash lines were neatly defined with black eyeliner and graphic lines were created on the crease using white eyeliner. The metallic silver lashes placed on the lower part of the eyes made a statement on its own. Hence, the rest of the face was kept clean with a slight bit of contouring. Also, lips were concealed, matching the colour of the face so that the entire attention was drawn towards the eyes.

Burgundy eye wings

Well, we are assured that Bella Hadid can pull off any look given and look like a Goddess! Haider Ackermann’s makeup by Inge Grognard proves us that this simple style can be achieved by anyone. This look focused just on the eyes and was created using a burgundy pencil eyeliner. A thin and elongated winged liner was created on the upper lash line and that stole the show! The rest of the makeup was kept minimal and soft pinkish nude lips put the look together. It is a must try look for those who want to make a bold statement.

Gunmetal eyes

Smoky eyes is an all-time favourite when it comes to eye makeup. This time at the Altuzarra show, makeup artist Tom Pecheux enhanced the look with charcoal grey and gunmetal hues. The look was balanced with a hint of black liner on the lower lash line that contrasted with the greys. The rest of the makeup was kept minimal with natural lips and a slight hint of colour. Well, ditch your blacks and browns for a smoky eye look and try shades of grey to stand out!

Monochrome makeup

Monochromatic makeup was seen this time in Chloe at the Paris Fashion Week. Artist Pat McGrath created a monotonous look with deep red colours for the lips and crimson red for the outer corner of the eyes. However, the eye makeup was spotted with an ombre look with lighter hues on the inner corners and deep crimson towards the end. The overall makeup look is kept quite simple with a hint of contouring and blush. This style is rich and sophisticated and can be carried out easily for any event.

Messy glittery eyes

Peter Philips, the makeup artist created the messy glitter eye look using two different variations at the Dries Van Noten. One was created using a mixture of gold and silver and the other look consisted of colourful sparkles. To create this look, he used medium sized glitter particles and placed them on the eyelids and under the eyes randomly. He also positioned some of them on the tip of the eyelashes to complete the all-glitter eye look. Nude lips and minimal makeup with a hint of contour balanced the entire style.

Colourful combo of eye and lip

At the Mugler runway show, the models were seen wearing bright pop colours on both their eyes and lips, created by the artist Inge Grognard. This is such a bold look yet looks classy when paired together! A hint of bright blue hue on the eyelids and bright orange or red lips made an amazing contrast of colours. Pair the look with a sleek hairdo and you’ll be ready to rock it! Play with different shades for both your eyes and lips and get creative to add oomph to your style.
