Top 7 beauty looks from the Game of Thrones Premiere

It’s an end of an era with the final season of Game of Thrones! While on one hand, our head is exploding with the suspense of what will unfold, on the other hand, we can help but feel a sense of sorrow to part with the show. But for now, let’s focus on some of our favourite characters and how ravishing they looked (albeit in a different avatar as we normally see them) on the season’s final premiere. Here we have Pankhuri Rastogi, Freelance Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist based out of Bangalore, breaking down some of her favourite looks.

Indira Varma

As always, the gorgeous Indira Varma kept her makeup simple using the all-time favourite monochromatic palette. She opted for matt skin and a sheer wash of fresh pink colour on the eyes, lips and cheeks to compliment her vibrant top and hot pink pants by Ulla Johnson. While keeping the makeup elegant, her hairstylist brought in some drama by adding two tiny braids on one side of her voluminous bun and leaving out loose curled pieces on the other side.

Sometimes, all you need is some pink on your lips to pull off one of the brightest and simplest looks of the premiere. French makeup artist Morgane Martini gave Carice a creamy looking matte pink lip, thick black liner and paired it perfectly with fresh looking skin. This was complemented with loose undone beach waves by hairstylist Sheridan Ward.

Celebrity Hair Stylist Ryan Richman styled her new hair in a Brigitte Bardot- esque inspired undone updo, bangs and accessorised it with a ribbon. Loved how she debuted her electric purple hair and flawless makeup! It was a perfect match, with the latter being the courtesy of Urban Decay X GOT collection that is releasing this April. For this look, makeup artist Kindra Mann went for a subtle monochrome mauve makeup, classic cat eyes and sun-kissed skin.

Gwendoline Christie

Gwendoline Christie, the rugged Brienne of Tarth who has shown many men their place (including the Hound) blew everyone’s mind on the red carpet with her stunning gown by Iris Van Herpen and beauty look created by Stoj Bulic & John D. I loved her subtle makeup, flawless and luminous glowing skin. Further accentuating her look was the brown/golden eye that had just a touch of frosty white on the inner corners. This was all aptly teamed with her blonde lob in big voluminous waves.

Not sure what I’m more drawn to, her metallic berry lips or her diffused pink eye shadow around her eyes! Naturally, she slayed her red carpet look with that and the Khaleesi- inspired braids created by hairstylist Jenny Cho. It was all beautifully offset by her gray tulle dress, that made her look every bit of royalty.

This beauty also graced us with her presence at the red carpet decked in the Urban Decay X GOT collection that is yet to be released. Her look compared to Williams was on the more vibrant side. Her makeup artist went with a glossy reddish-orange lip and used rust tones to complete the look. I love how the face was fresh and the blush was minimal which let the lip stand out. The hair in voluminous ringlets that compliments her super-fitted dress. This is definitely my favourite looks for the evening.

Sophie Turner

Also stealing the show was the gorgeous Sophie Turner. Crushing over her iconic charcoal hued-smoke eye and a nude glossy lip that made her strong eye makeup shine! Her hair too was immaculate, as it was left in loose waves achieved with the help of Wella Professionals.

So, there you have it, some of the best looks that reigned the red carpet. Now let’s just wait and see who will rule the iron throne!
