Going beyond fruit chaat, salads we have tried to bring some twist in your everyday preps that give us interesting summer eats you may want to try.
Begin with the King.
Bring out the king of fruits, mango. Full of life this sweet-tasting fruit lends itself to many dishes apart from aam ras and other regular delicacies.
Ambe Sasam
Here we have a recipe for ambe sasam (seasoned mango) which also brings out its piquant punch making this cool dish a blast of flavours.
Recipe:
Take 4 mangoes.
Peel and cut them into bite sizes. Pour them in a bowl.
Squeeze out any pulp from the mango skin. Enjoy the process as the juice trickles down your hand.
Pour the thick pulp into the bowl of mangoes.
Take Kashmiri lal mirchi as they are bright in colour and not pungent. But you need the hit of heat takes the pungent variety.
Grind the red chilli with coconut, jaggery, salt, and some tempered mustard. Make it into a nice paste.
Mix this paste with the mangoes. Keep in the fridge for a while. Once suitably cool bring out these big guns. Enjoy.
You can add other fruits of your choice as well.
Mango pancakes
Make your breakfast a thrilling session with pancakes and mangoes. These pancakes are made of wheat flour, utterly delicious and very easy to make.

Bael Sharbat
Packed with nutrients bael drink is simple to make and something everyone must have during summer. It is nutritious and a cooling drink. Here is how you make it.
Recipe
Wash a bael properly. Dab it dry.
Break open the bael’s outer shell and scoop out the pulp with a spoon in a vessel. Add water to it.
Cover the vessel and leave it for a while. It will make the pulp soft.
After some time mash the pulp in the water itself.
Mash well.
Squeeze the juice from the pulp. Strain it
Add sugar, rock salt, and lemon juice for that extra edge.
Add ice cubes and serve chilled.
Mixed fruits with chia seeds and coconut
Going by the trend, we now use chia seeds with aromatic coconut milk to make an exciting dish. The best part is that this dish is nutritious and can stay in the fridge for up to two days.
Recipe
Mix chia seeds, coconut milk, and honey/caster sugar in a bowl.
Mix well.
Keep it in the fridge for a few hours
Bring it out and add your choice of summer fruits like melon, mango, berries.
Sprinkle some pomegranate seeds on top with a handful of crushed walnut.
Serve chilled.
