Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Serving: 3 people

Ingredients:

  • Firm tofu cut into cubes – 200 g
  • Besan – 1/2 cup
  • Onion powder – 1 tsp
  • Garlic powder – 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 3/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste – a pinch
  • Oil for brushing – 1 tsp
  • Chat masala – a pinch

Method:

  1. Set the oven to preheat to 200°C. In a mixing bowl, add all the dry ingredients except chat masala and mix well.
  2. Coat the tofu cubes with the dry mixture very well. If the dry ingredients do not stick, then quickly dip the tofu cubes in water and roll in the dry mixture.
  3. Cover a baking tray with parchment paper, and brush it lightly with oil. Place the coated cubes of tofu on them. Brush the remaining oil on the cubes as well.
  4. Place the baking tray in the oven and bake at 200°C for 15-18 minutes or until they are baked well.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle some chat masala over it. Cool slightly and enjoy!
