Stay away from liquid foundation
Avoid liquid foundation during summer as it mixes up with the sweat and gives a messy look. Opt for a translucent powder instead. This will also absorb a bit of the oil and sweat caused during the season. The powder can be applied over the cake foundation or sunscreen.
Go for pencil eyeliner instead of an eyeshadow
Eyeshadow powder is not advisable as it can easily spread all over the eye because of the heat. You do not want to end up looking like you have got a black eye! Opt for something like the Lakme Absolute Eyeshadow that does not smear so easily. You can always go for a pencil eyeliner, maybe a metallic one as that is all the rage these days!
Matt lipstick’s the way to go
Summer is the time when you can get those matt lipsticks out. Due to their consistency, they do not smudge like the others. Keeping the sunny weather in mind, you can don a bright look. Maybelline has a fascinating range to pick from.
Glossy blush is the new mantra
Spring/Summer was huge on the shiny blush and you can follow suit too. The glossy look instantly lifts the complexion and beautifully appears like the sun has reflected on the skin creating little speckles of shimmer. You can select blushes from Revlon as it gives a glossy finish.
Waxed eyebrow pencil is better than the powdered one
For this season, eyebrow pencil must be the waxed variety, as they are always better. The powdered one mixes with the dirt and pollution and is not such a good option over time.
These are the essentials that you can carry in your purse during the summer. They are more than enough to get your full make-up done!
