Makeup remover substitutes that do the trick


By now, we all know the importance of removing makeup before hitting the bed.  The good news is that you do not necessarily have to invest in expensive makeup removers to do the needful. These easily available products work like a charm too. Read ahead to find out what they are.

Cold cream or Vaseline

Cold cream or Vaseline is commonly found on every dressing shelf. If you run out of your regular makeup remover or do not wish to spend on one, then reach for any of these items.  Slather some of it all over your face and allow a few minutes for your skin to soak it up. Wipe off your makeup with cotton and cleanse with your daily face wash.

Natural skin moisturisers

It is always better to use natural products for skin care and treatments at home. They are good for the skin and save of money too. Jojoba oil, argan oil, coconut oil, olive oil; all these natural moisturisers are excellent cleansers. They get rid of makeup and deep cleanse the skin.

Baby Oil

Baby oil is best to remove every trace of makeup, especially the mascara. For the face, apply all over face and massage for few minutes. Allow makeup to loosen from skin and wash off with warm water.

To remove mascara, dip a cotton ball in baby oil and hold it around the eyelashes for few minutes. The mascara will loosen up and wiping it off becomes easy.
