Multani mitti, besan and reetha mix
This natural shampoo mix is a potent combination of multani mitti, besan and reetha. The first two are excellent cleansers which take care of the scalp. Reetha, on the other hand, gives your mane that lovely shine. To top that, the magical ingredient has anti-fungal and antibacterial properties. To make a shampoo containing all of this, mix multani mitti, besan and reetha powder to the ratio 1:1:2. Pour water to make it into a paste. Wait at least 5 minutes before rinsing.
Aloe vera
The aloe vera plant is well known for its medicinal properties. But did you know that it great for the tresses too? The natural wonder conditions the hair, reduces dandruff and promotes healthy growth. To make the shampoo, all you need is freshly cut aloe plant. Extract the aloe pulp, strain and store in a container. Apply and rub well to gently cleanse the scalp and remove the dirt.
Amla, shikakai and reetha mix
Amla is rich in antioxidants with amazing antibacterial and antifungal properties. It makes the hair roots stronger and healthy from inside. To make the shampoo, mix 1/4 cup of amla, shikakai and reetha powder in a glass bowl. Add 4 cups of water to this powder and mix thoroughly. Let it sit overnight. Boil this solution next day until it is half the quantity and strain. Store it in a container for future use.
Baking soda
An easily available item in the kitchen which can be used as a shampoo! Just mix baking soda and water in the ratio 1:2 in a bowl. Apply this to damp hair and scalp. Let it sit for few minutes before rinsing off. Your hair may seem rough while this process but after it dries you will be left with clean and smooth hair. This will also remove any foul smell from the scalp and overtime, shall clear out the problem of dandruff. But use with caution.
Hibiscus
Hibiscus is packed with Vitamin C which helps in healthy growth of hair. It also prevents premature greying and makes the roots stronger. To make this cleanser, grab 10-12 leaves of hibiscus and grind it into a paste. Apply this like your normal shampoo. This shall leave your hair free of any grime. You can even go for the powdered form.
It is best to store these shampoos in the refrigerator for longer shelf life.
