Is your skin feeling lifeless lately? One of the reasons might be dehydration. The sun, air conditioner and external environment drain out all the moisture from the skin which leads to dullness. The hot weather outside is not helping either! To help on your mission towards a glowing skin, we list some D.I.Y hydrating masks.
Oatmeal pack
Oatmeal is packed with intense emollient properties that make it an excellent moisturizer. Its antioxidants further nourish and protect the skin. An easy face pack can be made by mixing 2 spoons of oats with warm water. Make it into a thick paste and apply for 20 minutes. Before removing, gently scrub with the pack on. You will be left with a happy face for sure.
The green pack
Kiwi has an abundance of Vitamin E and also helps in fighting against any free radicals. Scoop out one spoon of kiwi and mix it with one spoon of honey. Blend until no lumps are seen. Apply for 10 minutes and you will see softer, smoother, hydrated skin in no time.
A rosy affair
Rose has been used in beauty products since time immemorial. It soothes and hydrates skin too. Mix two spoons of rose powder with few drops of rose water and apply this paste on your face. This pack will leave you relaxed as well as highly moisturised.
Papaya pack
The papain enzyme present in papaya helps in clearing out the skin and removing blemishes. It deeply moisturises the skin and makes skin supple. Mix papaya and yoghurt in equal quantity and apply on the face for 15 minutes. The yoghurt will help in lightening the skin tone too.
Aloe vera cucumber pack
Aloe vera is a magical gel that contains beta-carotene, Vitamin C and E that nourishes the skin. Cucumber helps too as it has revitalizing properties. Together they make a potent combination. Mix equal parts of these two into a paste and apply onto the face. This mask cools the skin too.
For best results, apply twice a week!
