Top 10 Oscars 2019 beauty looks that stunned the red carpet

Academy Awards being one of the most glamorous events of the year highlights the talented and fashionable in the film industry. The red carpet gives us fashion and beauty goals every year and 2019 was a big smash with some breathtaking looks and attires. Here we have makeup artist Vydurya of Aristry by Vydurya breaking down the looks of top 10 styles from the Oscars 2019 that left us in awe.

Emelia Clarke

This actress startled us with a simple makeup with a touch of subtle pink and sleek pulled back hair. She definitely carried it out like a Khaleesi.

How to achieve the look:

Step 1: Cleanse the face using a product suitable for the skin type, use a toner and a moisturiser to prepare the skin for a flawless base.

Step 2: Start by grooming the eyebrows and filling them in to create symmetry on both sides.

Step 3: Apply a wash of concealer over the lids.

Step 4: Take an eye shadow blending brush and with a soft shade of orangish brown matte eye shadow, merge it well to avoid hard lines.

Step 5: Use an eye shadow either shimmery or satin in the shade of soft pearls on the center of the eyelid. This keeps the look extremely natural yet striking.

Step 6: Use a gel eyeliner to draw a thin outline on the upper lash.

Step 7: Curl your lashes and apply luscious coats of mascara. Use false lashes (natural) to give a lift to the eye.

Step 8: Apply primer on to the skin before you begin applying foundation closest to the skin tone.

Step 9: Use a concealer one or two shades darker than your skin tone (preferably liquid) to conceal the pigmented areas i.e., under eye, around the mouth, corners of the nose.

Step 10: Use a translucent powder to set the base and make it transfer resistant.

Step 11: Grab a fuchsia shade of lipstick, dab a little over your cheekbones and blend them out to give a nice flush of colour to the cheeks.

Step 12: Use a shimmery highlighter on the top points of the face to give it a glowy dimension.

Step 13: Start by lining the lips using a brighter red lip liner and coat the entire lip using the same pencil.

Step 14: Grab the lipstick we used on the cheek and apply it over the lips using a lip brush.

Step 15: Spray a setting mist over your makeup to achieve the red carpet shine on the face.

Deep browns and nude lips enhanced Emma Stone’s entire look. The matching shades of her dress, makeup and her brunette hair complimented her overall style.

How to achieve the look:

Step 1: Cleanse the face, use moisturiser and massage it on the skin.

Step 2: Choose an eyebrow shade either in the form of a pencil or brow gel, shape the brows and fill them in.

Step 3: Start your eye makeup by applying a wash of concealer all over the lids.

Step 4: Using a dark brown eye pencil, line till half of the lid making sure it is darkest at the lash line. Use a blending brush to create a soft wash of brown as it approaches the crease.

Step 5: Opt for an eye shadow application brush and press bronze shade on the center of the lid. Use a tapered blending brush to deposit black at the outer corners of the eye.

Step 6: Curl the eye lashes using the eye lash curler, apply thick coats of mascara to enhance the eye.

Step 7: Use the dark brown pencil on the outer corner of the lower lash line, using a pencil brush smudge it up to the outer tip of the eye.

Step 8: Apply luscious coats of mascara on the lower lash line.

Step 9: Prime the face using a shine control primer.

Step 10: Use a sheer coat of foundation, blend it.

Step 11: Choose a concealer suitable to cover pigmented areas

Step 12: Use a powder foundation which is one shade lighter on the center of the face.

Step 13: Contour your cheeks with a bronzer, jaw bone and the temples of the face.

Step 14: Opt for peachish blush to give a healthy glow on the face.

Step 15: Streak the lips using a soft brown lip liner, top it with a creamy brown lipstick.

How to achieve the look:

Step 1: Set the skin with a suitable cleanser, toner and a hydrating moisturiser.

Step 2: Brush the bows and fill in the gaps using an eyebrow pencil in the shade closest to the hair colour.

Step 3: Apply concealer over the lid. Start with using an orange matte eye shadow on the crease area all the way to the nape of the nose, blend it well.

Step 4: Use a slightly dark shade of brown on the outer crease area.

Step 5: Use a soft brown shade in shimmery texture on the middle of the lid.

Step 6: Stroke the upper waterline using a black eye pencil and line the upper lash line using a dark brown pencil.

Step 7: Curl the lashes, coat mascara and add lashes for luscious lifted eye look.

Step 8: Apply a primer suitable for the skin.

Step 9: Mix a few drops of moisturiser into the foundation and apply it evenly all over the face.

Step 10: For a soft contoured look, apply bronzer on the edges of the face.

Step 11: Use a mauve shade of blush and blend it with the contour.

Step 12: Take a pencil brush with the orangish crease shade and blend it on the lower lash line.

Step 13: Use a light brown lip liner all over the lip, top with a holographic liquid lip gloss.

How to achieve the look:

Step 1: Start your makeup with a clean face, dab a generous amount of moisturiser on the skin, prep the lip using a lip balm.

Step 2: Fill in the brows using a light brown shadow and groom them well so they look symmetrical.

Step 3: Start by using a brown matte eye shadow defining the crease line blending it outwards.

Step 4: Use a dark brown eye shadow on the outer corners of the lid, blend it halfway into the crease line.

Step 5: Take a pencil brush with a dark brown matte eye shadow and blend it in the inner corners of the eye. Use a plain blending brush and merge all the harsh lines.

Step 6: Use a shimmery gold eye shadow and place it on the middle of the lid, this gives a 3d effect on the eye and makes it pop.

Step 7: No look is ever complete without a stroke of eyeliner and luscious curled lashes.

Step 8: Apply a sheer coat of foundation, conceal under eyes, around the mouth and other pigmented areas using a slightly warm shade of concealer. Use a stick highlighter on the t-zone of the face.

Step 9: Apply a generous coat of translucent powder all over the face focusing mainly on the concealed areas.

Step 10: Take a pencil brush to smudge the lower lash line using the dark brown eye shadow used on the outer corners. Line the lower waterline using a black kohl pencil.

Step 11: Blend the powder all over the face and apply a layer of powder foundation on the high points of the face.

Step 12: Use a nude lip pencil to line the lips and top it with a nude brown lipstick.

How to achieve the look:

Step 1: Cleanse the face and prepare the skin with the right moisturiser and apply a generous coat of illuminator on the high points of the skin.

Step 2: Groom the brows using a brow definer.

Step 3: Prepare your eyes by applying a sheer layer of concealer all over the lid.

Step 4: Use a brown matte eye shadow on the crease area and blend it towards the outer corners of the lid.

Step 5: Take an eye shadow blending brush and darken the outer corners by blending in some black matte eye shadow. Merge it all the way up to the half of the crease.

Step 6: Use a silvery pearl shade eye shadow and place it on the inner lid blending it all the way till the middle.

Step 7: Draw a sharp line using a thin eyeliner brush with gel eyeliner and flick it out.

Step 8: Apply some falsies over curled mascara-coated lashes.

Step 1: Key to radiant looking skin is the right skincare. Start by cleansing and moisturising the skin.

Step 2: Apply concealer on the lid area and start by using a yellowish brown eyeshadow on the crease line, and blend it.

Step 3: Pick an orangish gold reflect and apply it in the center of the eyelid using an eyeshadow application brush.

Step 4: Tight line the eyes using a black Kajal pencil on the upper waterline. Use a black gel liner on the upper lash line, curl and pump the lashes with mascara.

How to achieve the look:

Step 1: Prep the skin for a dewy base by adding a few drops of illuminator into your moisturiser and massage it into the skin.

Step 2: Draw the brows softer and less sharp using strokes of eyebrow pencil.

Step 3: Use a wash of mauve around the crease line and blend it around the lid. Use a shimmery textured eyeshadow in the family of rose gold and place it all over the eyelid. It gives a nice frosty eye look.

Step 4: Curl those lashes to perfection and using a lengthening mascara, give it a few coats for the extra oomph.

Step 5: Tight line the inner waterline using a black pencil to define the eye.

Step 6: Use a pencil brush and blend the mauve shade in the lower lash line too. This gives a sultry smoked effect on the lower part of the eye helping it create dimensions.

Step 7: Also, use a light coloured eye pencil on the lower waterline to make the eyes appear larger.

Step 8: Use a medium coverage foundation close to the skin tone and blend it. Use a lighter coloured concealer in the T zone area and blend it. Meanwhile, use a warmer concealer in areas that are pigmented and needs even coverage.

Step 9: Opt for a powder foundation to set the liquid base. Then use a brownish blush tone with an angled brush to give a dispersed blush and contour effect.

Step 10: Use an orange lip liner and streak the lips and then use a warm tangerine shade lipstick and finish off with a splash of makeup fixer.
