How to recreate Lakme Fashion Week celebrity beauty looks

Setting some spectacular trends for the season, the Lakme Fashion Week is highly anticipated by fashionistas as well as beauty enthusiasts. This time too was no different with a stellar designer list. The cherry on the cake was the celebrity showstoppers who donned the best of the collection. Here, we zero in on some of the best beauty looks with tips on how to ace them as well!

Kareena Kapoor Khan

An epitome of beauty and elegance, Kareena Kapoor Khan continued the tradition of closing for Lakme Fashion Week. She stunned with a Gauri and Nainika black strapless net gown that was accentuated with sleek hair and makeup. The diva teamed super matte maroon lips with a subtle brown smokey eye. Chiselled face and strong brow gave her face the much-needed definition whereas the hair was slicked back with a wet look appeal.

Recreating the look:

If you want to recreate this look, keep your base makeup matte and add loads of contouring to your cheekbones, jawline and nose. Take brown and maroon hued eyeshadows and create a soft smoky eye. Keep in mind to not overdo the eye and maintain the natural effect. Load on the mascara and groom your brows. And finally, for the lips, you can take that dark brownish maroon matte lipstick and fill your pout with it. As for the hair, apply some gel when they are wet and pull them back. Comb your hair well. Seal the look with some hairspray and you’re great to go!

Athiya Shetty

A showstopper of Abraham and Thakore, Athiya Shetty proved that simple can be striking with a black and white striped saree bordered by black ruffles. Her makeup was overall simple with beautiful blush cheeks and lips.

Recreating the look:

Let your base be more natural. For that dewy finish, you can opt for a BB cream or mix your foundation with a bit of moisturiser. Dab on the highlighter on the cupid’s bow, middle of the nose, top of the cheekbone and brow bone. Do not forget to swipe the apple of your cheeks with a pink blush. Keep the lips a nude pink and enhance the eyes with a subtle brown eyeshadow and black eyeliner. For the beachy waves, create loose curls using a straightener or a curler with a thicker wand.

Ananya Panday

Ananya Pandey made a stunning debut at the Lakme Fashion Week with Arpita Mehta show. She honed the blockbuster bride look with a pink lehenga and dewy makeup that was in sync with the outfit.

How to recreate the look:

Opt for a cream-based foundation that will enhance your natural glow. Create a chiselled look with contouring and most importantly, do not forget a good blush on the cheeks. Once again, go for a subdued brown smoky eye and make it pop with golden shimmery lids and loads of mascara. Plump up the pout with a nude and glossy lipstick. Lastly, let your hair down in loose curls with the help of a straightener or a curling wand.

Shibani Dandekar

Shibani Dandekar walked for Payal Singhal looking ever so graceful in a cream lehenga with pastel embellishments. She focused on a monotoned look which made her look youthful, glowing and fresh.

How to recreate the look:

The beauty’s fresh and sun-kissed look can be easily recreated for various ceremonies. Just like Shibani, keep your base makeup fresh and dewy. Be generous with the blush and bronzer and balance it out with minimal eye makeup and a matte nude lip. For beachy waves like her, take the crown section of your hair and tie it into a top bun. Then make small braids on the rest of your tresses just like her, and you’ll be great to go!

Lisa Haydon

Lisa Haydon stole the show for Amit Aggarwal as she closed it by her walk along with Hardik Pandya, the Indian cricketer. She wore a maroon winged saree that had details of recycled polymer. The model too went with the monotony of colours and chose the same hue for her makeup as well. Her face looked sharp, clean and heavily contoured.

How to recreate the look:

Just like Lisa, you can keep your eye makeup simple with the same maroon colour on her lids and lower lash line. Go for strong bushy eyebrows and loads of mascara. If your outfit is going to do most of the talking, keep the lips muted with a mauve pink shade. Lastly, you can pull back your hair into a tight and neat ponytail.

Now since you know about these looks of your favourite celebrities, recreate them and stun everyone around, just like them!
