Easy Mocktails for a Cozy Movie Night In

While having a movie night at home, having munchies is a normal event. Along with snacks, the experience is elevated if you have some drinks to go with them. Some need drinks to remain awake, some need drinks to simply wash the snacks down, while some just enjoy drinks to sip while enjoying the movie. 

But serving regular soft drinks with the munchies is too mainstream. Just a little effort and some easy-peasy mocktails can be made at home! We have listed a few for you to go through. 

Non-Alcoholic Apple Cider Sangria 

This drink can be prepared in a large batch. It is fruity, refreshing and perfect for a movie night at home. This drink can be enjoyed by one and all. 

Serves: 6 Servings
Total Time: 15 minutes 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 large red apple 
  • 1 large orange 
  • 1 pear
  • ½ cup pomegranate seeds 
  • 750 ml plain apple cider 
  • 750 ml club soda
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 3-4 sprigs of fresh rosemary 
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Cinnamon sticks (for garnishing) 

Method: 

  1. Chop the apple and pear into smaller pieces, deseed the pomegranate to get about ½ cup seeds. Peel the orange and remove all the threads, deseed the pieces and chop them into small pieces. 
  2. Take a large pitcher, about 2 litres in size, and add all the fruits to it. Add the apple cider to it and mix well. 
  3. Now add the sugar and lemon juice and stir everything well. Add the rosemary to the mixture. 
  4. If you wish to serve later, then refrigerate the pitcher. Just before serving, add the club soda, give it a quick stir and transfer it into serving glasses. Decorate with a cinnamon stick and serve chilled. 

Refreshing Coffee Orange Mocktail

For those who need their dose of caffeine to stay up and watch a film, or if you’re not in the mood for a hot coffee, or just love the unique combination of coffee and orange, this mocktail is for you! 

Serves: 1 Serving
Total Time: 10 minutes 

Ingredients: 

  • 1/3 glass of freshly squeezed orange juice 
  • 2 tsp honey (or any other sweetener of choice) 
  • 100ml freshly brewed coffee/ espresso 
  • ½ glass soda (just enough to fill the glass) 
  • Ice cubes (4-5 regular-sized cubes) 

Method: 

  1. Add the freshly squeezed orange juice to the serving glass. 
  2. Once the fresh coffee is brewed, allow it to cool a little and then add the honey or any sweetener of choice, and stir. 
  3. Now add ice cubes into the glass, and using the back of a spoon, gently pour in the coffee into the glass. Take care not to mix the contents. This will give you two distinct layers in the mocktail. Finally, top the drink with soda to the brim of the glass. 
  4. Serve and enjoy immediately. 

Twisted Red Bull Mocktail 

This drink will refresh you with its kick of caffeine along with a fruity twist, that is sure you keep you on your toes through the movie! Ready within minutes, you will make this mocktail again and again. 

Serves: 1
Total Time: 5 minutes 

Ingredients: 

  • 3-4 tsp Blue Curacao syrup 
  • Juice of ½ orange 
  • 1 tsp juice of lemon
  • 1 can of Red Bull Energy Drink (You can use any energy drink of choice) 
  • 4-5 ice cubes (regular sized) 
  • 1 Wedge of orange for garnish 

Method: 

  1. In a mixing glass, add the orange juice, lemon juice and blue curacao syrup and stir it well. 
  2. Transfer the mixture to the serving glass, and add the ice cubes. 
  3. Top it with Red Bull till the brim of the serving glass. Give it a slight stir and serve. 

Blueberry Lemonade 

We all have had lemonade several times in our lives, so try this blueberry lemonade with the goodness and twist of berries. It is different yet the same. Try it once to know. 

Serves: 4 servings
Total Time: 10 minutes 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries 
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice 
  • ½ honey 
  • 4 cups club soda 
  • Ice cubes 
  • Lemon Wedges for garnishing 

Method: 

  1. In a mixing jar, mix ¾ cup of blueberries with lemon, juice and honey. Blend it all; together. 
  2. In a pitcher, mix the blended content, with the remaining blueberries and the club soda. 
  3. While serving into the serving glass, first add some ice cubes to the glass then gently pour the lemonade. Garnish with a wedge of lime and serve.
