Recipe: Jamun and Bitter Gourd Juice

A traditional Ayurvedic wellness juice combining jamun and bitter gourd for cooling and blood sugar support.

Ingredients

  • 200g fresh jamun
  • 100g bitter gourd (karela), chopped
  • 1 small piece of ginger (½ inch)
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional, add after cooling)
  • ½ cup water
  • Pinch of black salt
  • Ice cubes

Method

  1. Wash the jamun and bitter gourd thoroughly. Remove jamun seeds.
  2. Add jamun, bitter gourd, ginger, and water to a blender. Blend for 1 minute until smooth.
  3. Strain through a fine sieve. Press gently to extract all juice.
  4. Pour into glasses. Add black salt and stir. Add honey only after cooling (heat destroys enzymes).
  5. Add ice and serve immediately.
