Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh ber (jujube), washed
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- ¼ tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp black salt
- 1 tsp finely chopped coriander
- 1 small green chilli, finely chopped (optional)
Method
- Wash the ber thoroughly and pat dry. If the fruits are large, slice them in half and remove the seeds.
- Add the ber to a bowl and sprinkle with chaat masala, chilli powder, roasted cumin powder and black salt.
- Drizzle over the lemon juice and gently toss everything together.
- Add coriander and green chilli for an extra kick.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the sweet, sour, salty and spicy flavours.
Quick tip: If your ber is already quite sour, go easy on the lemon juice. Taste first, then adjust the seasoning.
