Did you know? Japanese women love facial products which are made of rice. They swear its properties which is believed to make the skin look young, bright and healthy.

If you haven’t incorporated a toner in your beauty regime, it is time that you do! This wonder shrinks pores, hydrates the skin and makes it supple. It also completes the process of cleansing (for even after washing the face with a cleanser, some impurities may still be present on the surface of the skin).

Here are some super effective and natural toners that you can make at home itself. So no more excuses!

Rose toner

Boil some water and drop in rose petals. Once the mixture cools down, transfer it into a container to apply later. Or, you can just add 30ml water to 20ml rose water and use it. Rose refreshes the skin and maintains the pH level. It also cools the skin and soothes it.

Rice water toner

Japanese women love facial products which are made of rice. They swear its properties which is believed to make the skin look young, bright and healthy. To make this toner, soak some rice in a cup of water. After 15 minutes, the water will become milky. Strain the milky water and transfer it into a spray container or the container of your choice. It is best to use organic rice.

Apple cider Toner

To make 100ml of toner, add 25ml of apple cider vinegar and 10ml of aloe vera gel into filtered water. The apple cider vinegar prevents acne since it has anti-bacterial properties. It also dries up excess sebum which makes it apt for acne prone skin.

Lemon Toner

Lemon absorbs excess oil from the skin as well as brightens and lightens it. To make this toner, add one tablespoon of lemon into 50ml of water. Add one tablespoon of glycerin to this mixture. The toner is ready to use. It is best suited for oily skin.

Green Tea Toner

Green tea is packed with antioxidants which is good for the skin. It leaves the skin clean and fresh. To make this toner, mix green tea which is boiled and cooled into filtered water. The proportion is 1:1.

All these toners can be stored in the refrigerator for 5 days. It is best to make only small batches as it takes a lot of time to finish these!
