Mouth-watering mango recipes for summer

Mango is termed the king of fruits for all the right reasons, isn’t it? Well, summers are here and what better season to relish this amazing delight! While the best way to satisfy your taste buds is to cut a few pieces of mango and consume it, the recipes are no less delicious in this regard. Be it mango cream or mango ice cream and aamras, no one says no when it comes to having these delicacies. Take your pick from Totapuri, Banganapalli, or Alphonso mangoes and make amazing recipes with them. Well, that definitely sounds tempting.

Healthy Mango Cream 

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Serves 2 people

Ingredients

2 pieces mango

500 ml curd

3 tbsp milk powder

2 tbsp milk

1 tsp sugar

Preparation

  1. Add curd, sugar, milk, and milk powder to a bowl.
  2. Mix all of them well until they are combined together.
  3. Take 1/4th of the mixture in another small bowl and add mango pulp to it. Blend well.
  4. Transfer it again to a larger bowl and garnish it with mango cubes.

Mango Ice Cream

Cooking time: 360 minutes

Serves 1 person

Ingredients

Pureed mangoes

100g condensed milk

1 tsp elaichi powder

1 pack whipping cream

Mint leaves for garnishing

Preparation

  1. Whip the cream in medium speed initially and then in full speed to get a foam-like consistency.
  2. Add milk and mango puree to the cream.
  3. Mix all the ingredients properly and add elaichi powder.
  4. Put the mixture in the refrigerator and let it sit there for 5-6 hours.
  5. Garnish the ice cream with mint leaves.

Aamras

Prep time: 10 minutes

Serves: 2 persons

Ingredients

1 Alphonso mango or any other mango

4 tbsp sugar

1 cup milk

Preparation

  1. Peel and chop the mango into smaller cubes.
  2. Add 3-4 spoonfuls of sugar to the same.
  3. Then add a cup of milk.
  4. Blend all the ingredients in a mixture.
  5. Pour it into a bowl and refrigerate for a few hours.
  6. Serve chilled.

Eggless mango pudding

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Serves 2 persons

Ingredients

500g mango pulp

0.05 cup sugar

2 packs of mango jelly

1 pack whipping cream

Preparation

  1. Add one cup of water and the mango jelly crystals to the mango pulp in a vessel.
  2. Keep stirring the mixture on low heat until the crystals dissolve.
  3. Meanwhile, add sugar to the cream and whip it.
  4. Let the mango mixture sit for some time. Once it cools down, add the whipping cream to the same and mix well.
  5. Now, transfer the mixture to serving bowls and refrigerate for 45 minutes.
  6. Garnish it with some cream and serve chilled.
